Guidepost Montessori, operated by Higher Ground Education, is the world’s largest Montessori network, serving over 7,000 families on over 80 campuses across the U.S. and Asia. Their holistic approach “educates the whole child,” providing a knowledge-rich environment that enables social, emotional, and physical development.
Location Finders International (LFI) contracted Helios to build out the new Downers Grove school, making this the seventh Guidepost Montessori school Helios has built. Previously a large retail store, Helios made extensive exterior and interior improvements to the space to transform it into a bright, educational environment typical of Guidepost’s light and friendly schools. The interior work included building out ten classrooms, a kitchen/staff room, an office, a storage area, a reception area, and restrooms. The exterior work included landscaping improvements, four playground areas, and a façade enhancement. The final result was an airy, calming daycare that will serve the growing community in Downers Grove for years to come.
