Medical Dermatology Associates of Chicago (MDA) recognizes that with modern healthcare comes modern frustrations and is looking to leverage today’s technology to bring an “old-fashioned” experience with a doctor.
Over the years, Helios has worked with MDA to accommodate their growing practice. MDA first contracted us to build a new medical office space and healthcare practice in a repurposed and lofted masonry warehouse in River North. As the first tenant to occupy the building, MDA and Helios collaborated with the landlord for core and shell infrastructure upgrades required for new occupancy. The team delivered new MEP systems, an office, exam rooms, and common spaces. Extensive custom millwork, metals, and clean finishes rounded out this adaptive reuse of a former factory building.
In late 2021, MDA hired Helios to coordinate their expansion onto the second floor of their building. The addition includes a new prep/wash station, exam rooms, procedure rooms, an office, a nurse station, a reception area, a laboratory, and storage.
