Middle Brow Beer Co. formerly contract brewed in the Chicago area while building their brand. They wanted to create a new space, Middle Brow Bungalow, with self-sufficient production that would allow them to increase their local presence.
Helios worked with the client to bring a design aesthetic and functionality to this vacant retail space throughout the preconstruction and construction process while working within a manageable budget. Work included large openings in newly-reinforced load-bearing walls, multiple skylights allowing the concept of visual continuance at a fraction of the cost, industrial infrastructure, and a finishes process, which developed throughout construction, into what has become a warm and inviting space for all to gather.
