Hallstar Beauty is an international creator of beauty products and cosmetics ingredients sold to some of the largest cosmetics brands in the world.
Helios partnered with Hallstar and Collective Office to build a high-end office space for Hallstar to attract talent to the suburbs. The design focuses on the feel and experience of the space while providing back-of-house functions. Finishes included curved glass, wood paneling, polished concrete, and unique standalone structures. We built these items ground up within an existing warehouse shell. Helios also built a mechanical and electrical system that connects these elements in a purposeful aesthetic way.
The office also features a finished mezzanine space overlooking the lab and office, a production area, a conditioned warehouse, and a traditional warehouse with a standalone shipping office. Helios provided all of the infrastructure and finishes for the owner to furnish and begin operating immediately.
This project was awarded the AIA Chicago’s Small Project Awards Citation of Merit for 2021.
