SVRN is a luxury retailer and experimental fashion storefront in Chicago’s West Loop that carries high-end labels such as Rick Owens, Maison Margiela, Jil Sander, and more. Originally opened in 2019, their new store pays homage to CEO David Kim’s Korean heritage and SVRN’s desire to be at the intersection of fashion, music, art, and design.
Helios worked closely with the client and interior designer to deliver an unconventional and innovative retail environment that provides an immersive customer experience. The space, comprised of the main sales floor and a backroom, was designed to use monolithic materials and unique features that create a constantly changing visual flow for customers to navigate. Helios managed the demolition of an existing space to expand on neighboring square footage, combining two lease spaces into one, while coordinating the installation of decorative metal panels, columns, and clothing bars; extensive millwork; Venetian plaster at the floors, walls, fixtures, and millwork; unique elements such as volcanic stone and extensive light fixtures; and updates to the fire suppression system, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical system.
SpecThe result was a perfect blend of art and design, encapsulating SVRN’s brand identity.
