Helios Construction Services was contracted for the buildout of this 3,500-square-foot salon at the Trump Tower in Chicago. The U-shaped Anthony Cristiano Salon features a living room-style reception area with detailed white oak millwork; a wide-open salon and pedicure area, featuring terrazzo flooring; and floor-to-ceiling windows, giving clear views of the Chicago River.

This project was awarded the AIA Chicago's Interior Architecture Award for 2013.

Shane Potter

Director of Operations

Shane is the Director of Operations at Helios Construction Services. Shane provides overall project leadership and management for a wide variety of project types, including medical, retail, office and mixed use. Shane has over ten years of commercial construction experience in Chicago, Having been involved in the management of over $500M in completed construction projects and having provided preconstruction services for several other high profile projects. Shane's satisfied client base includes several of Chicago's premier health care organizations, private developers and owners of hospitality, higher education, corporate office and retail facilities.

Prior to joining Helios Construction Services, Shane served as a Project Manager for one of Chicago's largest construction contractors, where his project leadership skills contributed to the company's success over his tenure. Shane is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has obtained his American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and OSHA 30-hour Certifications. Shane holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Tom Cichy

General Superintendent

Since joining the organization in 2010, Tom has been extremely instrumental in taking on some our most complex projects, while helping to convert many first-time clients into repeat clients. As a General Superintendent, Tom is involved in every project, serving as a mentor and a resource to all of our Superintendents and project team members. Tom’s extensive background in construction enables him to provide outstanding direction to subcontractors by coordinating plans, specifications and schedules in order to ensure quality and on-time completion of work. 

Prior to Helios, Tom had been an integral part of one the largest construction companies in Chicago where he served as a carpenter apprentice, journeyman, carpenter foreman and superintendent. Throughout his thirty-five year career in the construction industry, Tom has overseen and consistently delivered several projects of different sizes, scopes and budgets.
