Revolution Brewery - Kedzie Avenue Production Facility

Revolution Brewing, LLC

WRAP Architecture

Date of Completion

2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016

Preconstruction and General Contracting services for the construction of a new 35,000 sf production brewery and tasting room. Located in an existing warehouse, this project required substantial coordination with existing conditions to accommodate new structural foundations and slab within the footprint of an existing building and extensive below and above slab MEP work to accommodate the brewing process. A tasting room was designed to enhance the brewery experience as part of the tasting area. The brewery features a 45 BBL brew house and full canning line, allowing for the distribution of both keg and canned beer. Fermentation tanks ranging from 20 BBL to 120 BBL (with structural provisions allowing for up to 240 BBL tanks) allow for both small and large batch production.

Revolution Brewing later contracted Helios to manage the expansion of their Kedzie Avenue brewery and taproom. The  included caisson drilling to support the eight new 800 barrel fermentation tanks as well as the addition of a 120 barrel brewhouse. Extensive electrical, HVAC and plumbing work was needed to integrate the new tanks to the existing facility. These additions allowed Revolution Brewery to triple it's prior capacity.
