One Tail at a Time is a Chicago-based no-kill animal rescue that supports under-resourced animal shelters and pet families. With a progressive dog adoption program, One Tail at a Time rescues hundreds of animals each year from local and Southern shelters by rehabilitating, fostering, and finding adopters for each dog.
Helios was contracted to renovate an existing dog boarding space to create the new in-house One Tail at a Time Ellis Veterinary Clinic. The fully staffed veterinary clinic reduces the cost of care and length of stay for animals taken in by the rescue. Our team managed the complete replacement of electrical wiring, HVAC equipment, and piping. We installed new carpentry and cabinetry throughout the building, and local artists painted custom indoor and outdoor murals.
