Presidential Towers is a multi-use, residential complex in Chicago’s West Loop consisting of four 49-story towers with 2,346 apartment units.

Helios construction managed the demolition and construction of a single-story addition on the southeast corner of Presidential Towers in high pedestrian traffic. The project’s purpose was to modernize Presidential Towers’ retail space to attract new, high-end tenants. With minimal disruption to commuters, we safely dismantled the existing building, installed new foundations, erected structural steel, and installed the new curtain wall system on a very cramped site.

Key Features

Structural shoring during demolition of existing building

New exterior curtain wall and aluminum metal panel system

New elevator and metal staircase with glass panels and precast steps

Rooftop deck with porcelain pavers and Nichiha railings
